May 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for continuous reforms aimed at improving both the ease of living and ease of doing business during a recent meeting of the Council of Ministers. He said these efforts are essential to achieving the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” or developed India.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister urged ministries to focus on policies that directly benefit citizens, simplify governance, and strengthen economic growth. He highlighted the importance of faster implementation, technology-driven administration, and citizen-centric decision-making.
Modi also stressed that reforms should not remain limited to businesses alone but should improve everyday life for people through better infrastructure, digital services, and efficient public systems. According to him, coordinated efforts across ministries will play a crucial role in accelerating India’s development journey.
The discussion also reviewed progress on key government initiatives and explored ways to further strengthen investment, innovation, and employment opportunities across sectors.
