New Delhi, 12th September 2026: GAP Contemporary, formerly known as Gallery Art Positive, marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter with the unveiling of The Still Life of Sentiments, a thoughtfully curated exhibition by art advisor, curator and writer Priyanshi S.
The exhibition was previewed on 10 September 2026 at GAP Contemporary, Lado Sarai, New Delhi, and will remain on view from 11 September to 10 October 2026 at GAP Contemporary, Lado Sarai, New Delhi.
Spanning approximately 5,000 sq. ft., The Still Life of Sentiments moves beyond the conventional gallery experience to create a deliberately domestic environment. Instead of functioning as a traditional white cube, the space has been transformed into a series of lived-in settings comprising a living room, a study and an anti-room, bringing together contemporary art, furniture, objects, books, greenery and lighting.

Curated around the idea of how art can exist within everyday life, the exhibition explores the relationship between art, design and contemporary living. Works are presented alongside furniture and objects, encouraging visitors to experience them not as isolated pieces, but as part of an evolving environment.
The exhibition brings together artists and design practices across disciplines and generations. Featured artists include Bashobi Tiwari, Boito, Enii Living, Meghna Patpatia Singh, Poorvi Sultania, Pranshu Thakore, Protyush Paul, Suryan Saurabh, Urvi Sethna and Vikalp Durga Mishra, among others.
The design component features studios including Hatsu, Objectry, Phantom Hands, This and That, Turn Black Official, Umber Furniture, Vahe and Vakr Studio, along with object and lighting practices such as Fig Living, Kathakaar Studio, Dhruv Agarwwal and Clay Ventures. The exhibition also incorporates a selection of books and unexpected additions that further contribute to its lived-in character.
An Exhibition That Keeps Evolving
A defining aspect of The Still Life of Sentiments is its emphasis on dynamism. The exhibition is designed to continuously evolve throughout its run, with works being added, removed or altered as the show progresses. Some pieces may leave the exhibition after finding new homes, while others may enter the space, ensuring that the experience is never entirely static.
This evolving format invites audiences to return to the gallery and discover something different with every visit.
The new identity represents an evolution rather than a departure, reflecting the gallery’s growth alongside India’s changing art and cultural landscape. GAP Contemporary will continue to work closely with artists and collectors while broadening its engagement across art, design, culture, wellness and contemporary living.
The Still Life of Sentiments marks the first exhibition in this new chapter—one that brings together art, design and the rhythms of everyday life within a space that is constantly evolving.
From Art Positive to GAP Contemporary
Founded by Anu Bajaj in 2005, Gallery Art Positive has spent more than two decades building a programme around contemporary art, while working with both established and emerging artists, collectors and cultural institutions. Its Lado Sarai space has also hosted talks, workshops and the flagship GAP Art Award, alongside its exhibition programme, and the art advisory practice.
In its 20th year, the gallery was reborn as GAP Contemporary.
The rebrand marks an evolution rather than a departure: a new identity for a gallery that has grown alongside the changing Indian art, and culture landscape, and the curiosity and colour of South Asian art across the globe. GAP Contemporary will continue its work with artists and collectors while expanding its engagement with art, design, culture, wellness and contemporary living.
