Rocket Health Launched World’s First AI Voice Journal for Mental Wellness

18th September, 2025  Rocket Health, one of India’s leading mental health startups, founded by a doctor–entrepreneur sibling duo, has launched the world’s first AI-powered voice journaling app. It’s designed to help people reflect, vent, and track their emotions in a private space.

The app will enable users to speak to an empathetic AI that can listen without judgment, offering guided prompts, and spot mood patterns over time. Modes include “Rant Mode” that let users vent freely, while structured check-ins encourage self-reflection. The iOS app has debuted in India’s Top 10 Health & Fitness apps within two days of release reinforcing its credibility.

”Rocket Journal is built with Rocket Health’s team of psychologists, and makes the daily ritual of journaling effortless through its voice interface. This is a perfect tool for someone in therapy, as well as for someone who is new to journaling, says Dr. Ritika Sinha, COO and Founder, Rocket Health.

The launch has come up on Rocket Health’s wider platform that integrates therapy, psychiatry, diagnostics, and cloud pharmacy services. Since its founding in 2021, the company has delivered over 200,000 sessions through a network of 100+ psychologists, serving users across Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. Rocket Health’s journey started during the COVID-19 crisis, when its founders and volunteer doctors helped more than 4,000 people across India with free tele-consults via social media.

Mr. Abhineet Kumar, CEO and Founder at Rocket Health, said “At Rocket Health, we believe the future of healthcare and wellness will be shaped by AI-first consumer products – the Rocket Journal app is our attempt at building a global mental wellness product from India for the world”.

India faces a severe shortage of mental health professionals, with only one psychiatrist per 100,000 people compared to the global average of three, according to WHO. This gap has accelerated the rise of digital health startups experimenting with AI-enabled support tools. Rocket Health emphasizes that Rocket Journal is not a replacement for therapy, but rather a scalable companion that can help users build consistency and awareness in their mental health practices.

Rocket Journal is a voice-first AI journaling App which has psychology-backed prompts, people will be able to process racing thoughts, gaining gentle insights, and building consistency. We believe it’s not a replacement for therapy but it’s more like a companion—just five minutes a day can simply improve self-understanding and stress management, says Ms. Priyanka Sharma, Chief of Staff – New Initiatives & Business Strategy.

Rocket Journal is currently available on the iOS App Store. An Android release and Apple Watch integration are expected in 2026.
