New Delhi, May 19 : Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday distributed benefits under various schemes of the Chief Minister’s Office to beneficiaries from across the state during a programme held at Manan Kendra.
The benefits were extended under several welfare and assistance initiatives, including the Nar Bahadur Bhandari Fellowship, laptop distribution programme, Sikkim Garib Aawas Yojana, Chief Minister’s Self Employment Assistance Scheme , Chief Minister’s Education Assistance Scheme , and financial assistance through the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Grant .
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister stated that these schemes continue to empower citizens through support for entrepreneurial ventures, higher education, book publications, farming activities, repair and renovation works, housing assistance under SGAY, and digital access for students. Assistance was also provided towards strengthening infrastructure, including religious establishments and other public welfare initiatives.
He reiterated the State Government’s commitment towards inclusive development and social welfare, stating that such initiatives are aimed at creating greater opportunities for the people of Sikkim and ensuring collective progress and prosperity across the state.
