New Delhi, May 11: Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has said he continues to view Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru as strong contenders for a place in the IPL 2026 final, citing their overall balance and competitive performances.
Gavaskar noted that both teams have shown consistency in key areas this season and have the capability to maintain momentum in the crucial stages of the tournament.
He added that while the IPL remains highly competitive with several teams in the race, execution under pressure and squad depth will play a decisive role in determining the finalists.
