Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Reviews India’s Preparations for CWG 2026

New Delhi, May 15: Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya chaired a high-level meeting to review India’s preparations for the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026, focusing on athlete readiness, infrastructure development, and overall performance planning.

The meeting assessed the current training status of athletes across disciplines and discussed measures to strengthen support systems, including coaching, sports science assistance, and international exposure.

Officials also reviewed progress on infrastructure readiness, including training facilities and competition preparation frameworks, to ensure athletes receive optimal conditions ahead of the Games.

The Minister emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among sports federations, coaches, and support staff to enhance India’s medal prospects at the CWG 2026.
