Amit Shah Unveils Next-Gen Emergency Response System in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 18: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday launched the next-generation Dial 112 emergency response system along with mobile forensic vans in Chhattisgarh, marking a major upgrade in the state’s emergency response and criminal investigation capabilities.

The upgraded Dial 112 service is designed to strengthen emergency response by improving coordination between police, ambulance, and fire services through faster communication and technology-driven support. Officials said the system aims to reduce response time and ensure quicker assistance to citizens in distress.

Alongside this, mobile forensic vans were also introduced to enhance on-the-spot crime scene investigation. These vans are equipped with modern forensic tools to collect and preserve evidence more efficiently, helping investigators speed up the process of criminal detection and case resolution.

Addressing the launch, Amit Shah highlighted the importance of leveraging technology in policing to improve public safety and strengthen the justice delivery system. He emphasized that such initiatives would help modernize law enforcement infrastructure and enhance citizen security across the state.

State officials noted that the introduction of these services is expected to significantly improve emergency handling capacity in both urban and rural areas, while also supporting faster and more scientific investigation processes.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to modernize policing systems in Chhattisgarh through digital integration and advanced forensic support, aiming to build a more responsive and efficient public safety framework.
