BSNL Posts Strong Turnaround, Revenue Rises to Rs 25,000 Crore in Two Years

New Delhi, May 26: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has reported a sharp improvement in financial performance, with its revenue rising from around Rs 21,000 crore to Rs 25,000 crore over the past two years, reflecting renewed operational momentum and customer growth.

Officials said the increase highlights steady progress in the state-owned telecom operator’s revival strategy, supported by network expansion, improved service quality and a stronger focus on digital connectivity across urban and rural markets.

The company has been working on upgrading its telecom infrastructure, expanding 4G coverage and improving service reliability as part of its broader transformation plan to remain competitive in India’s fast-evolving telecom sector.

According to industry updates, BSNL’s improved performance has been driven by better customer retention, enhanced network reach in semi-urban and rural areas, and efforts to streamline operations and reduce costs.

The company is also focusing on strengthening its role in bridging the digital divide by expanding affordable connectivity in underserved regions, aligning with the government’s broader digital inclusion goals.

Officials added that continued investment in technology upgrades and network modernisation will be key to sustaining this growth trajectory in the coming years.
