MeitY, PhonePe Join Hands to Bring Hyperlocal Data Intelligence to PM GatiShakti

New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has partnered with PhonePe to bring granular, anonymised transaction-based insights into the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, strengthening data-driven infrastructure planning across India.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed on Thursday, insights from PhonePe’s PulsePro enterprise data intelligence platform will be integrated into the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan portal, managed in collaboration with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N).

The integration will provide planners with hyperlocal information on economic activity, market trends and geographic patterns derived from aggregated and anonymised digital transaction data. The additional datasets are expected to complement existing government information and support more informed decisions on infrastructure development, economic analysis and urban and rural planning.

MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan said granular data intelligence could provide greater visibility into emerging trends across markets and geographies. PhonePe Head of Strategy Karthik Raghupathy said PulsePro’s near-real-time market signals could contribute to a stronger data ecosystem and support evidence-based infrastructure planning. The partnership is expected to strengthen the use of technology and data analytics in advancing India’s long-term development objectives.
