Ahead of World Music Day, Skylark Academy Highlights Music Education

Guwahati, 18 June 2025: On the occasion of World Music Day, celebrated globally on 21st June, Skylark Music & Arts Academy, one of Guwahati’s leading creative institutions, has announced its renewed focus on building structured, professional training in music, art, and dance for aspiring students across the region.

Founded by Akarsh Mantri, a passionate educator and musician, Skylark has been a pioneer in providing formal creative education with access to internationally recognized certifications, including Rockschool, ABRSM, and Trinity College London, and nationally recognized institutions like Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and Assam Fine Arts and Crafts Society. The academy emphasizes discipline, technique, and creativity, empowering students to take their passion to professional heights.

“At Skylark, we believe that music is not just a hobby, it’s a discipline. On this World Music Day, we want to emphasize the need for structured, guided learning so that students from this region can match global standards and turn their creative interests into professional achievements,” said Akarsh Mantri, Founder, Skylark Music & Arts Academy.

As part of its growing presence, Skylark Music & Arts Academy recently collaborated with St. Francis De Sales Higher Secondary (SFS, Narengi), becoming their official co-curricular activities partner. Through this partnership, Skylark will provide structured creative training to school students alongside their academic journey, ensuring early exposure to music, art, and dance.

Further strengthening its offerings, Skylark boasts a dedicated creative infrastructure, including a fully equipped jamming room, dedicated art spaces, and performance-ready studios, providing an environment that encourages collaboration, experimentation, and growth. Whether it’s learning an instrument, painting, or exploring dance, students have access to spaces designed to nurture creativity at every step.

Welcoming students from as young as 3 years of age, the academy encourages children to explore multiple creative talents simultaneously, helping them discover and hone their artistic interests.
