GPSC 24th Annual Conference Emphasizes Conscious and Value-Based Education

Gurgaon, Apr 27: The GPSC Sahodaya successfully organized its 24th Annual Conference 2025–26 under the theme “Chaitanya – Awakening | Rise, Act, Transform” at The Leela Hotel, Gurgaon. The conference focused on making education more aware, practical, and supportive of the holistic development of students.

The event began with a ceremonial march and the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Several eminent dignitaries were present, including GPSC Chairperson Alka Singh and Roopa Chakravarti, Director of Suncity Group of Schools.

In her address, Alka Singh explained that “Chaitanya” represents awareness in education. She spoke about initiatives such as skill development programs, digital safety measures, and competency-based learning. She emphasized that education should not be limited to textbooks and must prepare students for real-life challenges.

Chief Guest Kartikeya Sharma, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), highlighted that real education also happens beyond the classroom. He stressed the importance of interdisciplinary learning and value-based education.

The conference also featured insightful sessions by Dr. Amita Mulla Wattal, Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, and Joint Director Neeti Shankar Sharma. During the event, the GPSC Sahodaya Yearbook “Chaitanya 2” was officially launched.

Sanyam Bhardwaj discussed changes in the examination system and explained the advantages of on-screen evaluation. Neeti Shankar Sharma spoke about student mental health and new educational initiatives.

Various sessions and panel discussions covered topics such as artificial intelligence, digital lifestyle, emotional intelligence, and moral values. Experts emphasized that along with technology, human values must also be given equal importance.

The program concluded with cultural performances. All speakers agreed that the purpose of education is not only academic learning but also to shape responsible, sensitive, and strong individuals.

The GPSC 24th Annual Conference delivered a clear message that education must move towards awareness, self-development, and value-based learning to meet the needs of the future.
