Mandaviya to Flag Off Fit India Cyclothon Along Mumbai’s Worli Coast Ahead of Yoga Day

June 17: In the lead-up to International Yoga Day, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will lead a Fit India Cyclothon along Mumbai’s iconic Worli seafront, promoting fitness, wellness, and active living among citizens.

The initiative, part of the broader Fit India Movement, aims to encourage people across age groups to adopt cycling as a sustainable and healthy lifestyle choice. The event is expected to witness participation from fitness enthusiasts, students, local residents, and community groups, creating a vibrant atmosphere along the coastal route.

The Cyclothon underscores the government’s continued emphasis on preventive health, physical fitness, and environmental sustainability. Cycling, being both eco-friendly and health-promoting, aligns with the larger vision of building a healthier and more active nation.

Speaking on the initiative, officials highlighted that such events ahead of International Yoga Day help reinforce the message of holistic well-being, combining physical activity with mindful living practices.

The Worli seafront event is expected to serve as a flagship pre-Yoga Day celebration, bringing together citizens in a collective celebration of fitness and community spirit.
