CM Mohan Majhi’s Grievance Redressal Initiative Delivers 96 PC Resolution Rate

Bhubaneswar, June 2 (BNP): The Odisha Government has claimed significant success in addressing public grievances through the Chief Minister’s grievance hearing programme, with 96 per cent of complaints received at the state-level public hearing sessions reportedly resolved.

During the latest public grievance hearing held at the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell in Unit-II, Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi personally interacted with citizens, listened to their concerns, and directed officials to ensure prompt resolution of pending issues.

According to official data, a total of 14,651 grievances have been received during the last 17 rounds of public hearings conducted under the Chief Minister’s direct supervision. Of these, nearly 96 per cent have been resolved, reflecting the government’s focus on responsive and citizen-centric governance.

The government further stated that grievance redressal mechanisms have also been strengthened at the district level. More than 2.40 lakh grievances have been heard across districts, with around 92 per cent reportedly resolved through coordinated administrative action.

Officials said the initiative is aimed at bringing governance closer to the people and ensuring that citizens receive timely solutions to their problems without unnecessary delays. The programme has been positioned as a key component of the state government’s efforts to improve accountability, transparency, and public service delivery.

The Chief Minister reiterated that ensuring speedy resolution of people’s grievances and making administration accessible at the grassroots level remain among the top priorities of the government.
