Panasonic Champions Green India: Eco Relay Initiative Focuses on Ecosystem Restoration

New Delhi, 11th March, 2025: Panasonic Life Solutions India – a leading diversified technology company under its global environmental initiative Panasonic Eco Relay organized a tree plantation project in NSG Campus, Manesar. Panasonic has partnered with CATCH foundation to plan 3800 native plants as part of Miyawaki Dense Forest (CVSP – CATCH Van Sanrakshan Pranali) with the broad aim to transform a part of NSG’s dumping yard into a dense forest. To start with, saplings will be planted across an acre of land and maintained to ensure their growth. This project will look at enhancing the biodiversity, rehabilitating and preventing soil, combating pollution, providing habitat for local wildlife thus, creating a healthier ecosystem and offsetting carbon in the process.

The project was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Manish Sharma, Chairman, Panasonic Life Solutions India & SA; Mr. Harsh Agarwal, CFO, Panasonic Energy Company and other key dignitaries Jagdish Prasad Maithani, Group Commander (Garrison), NSG Manesar and Bharat Sisodia Chairman, CATCH Foundation symbolizing company’s commitment to restoration of forest ecosystem.

Sharing her thoughts on the initiative, Pooja Garg Khan, Head of Corporate Communications & CSR at Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) said, “Under Panasonic’s Green Impact initiative we are looking to achieve both a better life and a sustainable global environment through reducing CO2 emissions and realising a circular economy. Here, environment is an integral part of our commitment to ensure sustainable future for the next generation. Creation of mini-dense forest is a small action aimed at creating a larger impact through carbon sequestration​, biodiversity​ enhancement, reduced soil displacement to name a few. In line with this objective, Panasonic in India in collaboration with local community is contributing to the forest ecosystem.”
