New Delhi, May 28: Demand for artificial intelligence-related skills in India’s Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) sector has surged by 178%, according to a recent industry report, highlighting the rapid adoption of advanced technologies in pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing.
The sharp rise reflects growing integration of AI-driven tools across drug development, process optimization, quality control, and supply chain management within the CDMO ecosystem. Companies are increasingly leveraging data analytics and automation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate production timelines.
Industry experts said the shift toward AI-enabled operations is reshaping workforce requirements, with rising demand for professionals skilled in machine learning, data science, predictive analytics, and digital manufacturing systems.
