Bengaluru, Karnataka May 23: The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) hosted the ‘Manufacturing Summit on Productivity to Prosperity’ that brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss strategies for boosting operational efficiency, adopting advanced technologies, and driving sustainable growth across India’s industrial sector.

Mr. Prashant Gokhale, President, BCIC said “To transform challenges into opportunities, the manufacturing sector must embrace scalable innovations and advanced digital solutions, exploring actionable pathways to modernize supply chains, enhance production capabilities, and navigate the transition toward next-generation manufacturing.
CA K Ravi, President-Elect, BCIC in his address emphasized on the required critical shift towards advanced manufacturing, technology integration, and sustainable practices essential for India’s growing economic footprint. In his remarks, Mr. Ravi highlighted the importance of building a future-ready workforce through upskilling initiatives and industry-aligned training programs.
Mr. T K Ramesh, Managing Director, ACE Designers Ltd (Flagship Company of AceMicromatic Group) in his Keynote Address said

Addressing the summit, Mr. Devaraj K, IEDS, Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, emphasized the critical need for operational efficiency to achieve the nation’s economic ambitions. “The transition from productivity to prosperity is the cornerstone of India’s economic future”; by embracing lean manufacturing, adopting cutting-edge technologies like AI and Industry 4.0, and scaling up sustainable practices, MSMEs can position themselves as the undisputed backbone of global supply chains.
Mr. G Prakash, Chairman, Manufacturing, MSME and Industry 4.0 Expert Committee, BCIC in his address mentioned “To bridge the gap between mere productivity and true, lasting prosperity, manufacturing sector must embrace advanced technology and Ind 4.0, by leveraging digital transformation, smart factory frameworks, and AI readiness towards empowering industries to become globally competitive, sustainable, and future-ready. “India needs to build it’s own model for scaling up with speed with coordinated efforts of well-knit framework Government, policies, industry, industry bodies and academic institutions while taking note of best practices of other developed countries. This is key to self reliance towards Viksit Bharat which truly reflects the empowerment, prosperity with inclusiveness.
The Summit featured deep-dive panel sessions addressed by industry stalwarts and Government on enhancing operational efficiency, supply chain resilience, and skill development for the modern workforce. Eminent speakers and panelists deliberated on strategies for scaling operations, reducing costs, and boosting overall competitiveness.
A major highlight of the conference was the Manufacturing Excellence Awards, which honored pioneering organizations for their exceptional contributions to the sector. The awards recognized companies that have successfully implemented groundbreaking technological solutions, sustainable practices, and lean production methodologies to drive remarkable productivity gains.
