Delhi, May 27: TrucksUp, a technology-driven freight-matching platform, announced a coordinated initiative to reduce and eliminate the long-standing industry problem of trucks returning empty after deliveries. The programme has been launched from Nalagarh in association with the Nalagarh Truck Union and has already been rolled out with awareness and health activities in Delhi NCR and Kanpur.
The return-load problem has historically burdened truck owners with high operational costs and zero-revenue return trips. By leveraging its digital platform, TrucksUp is providing a structural solution to transporters across the country. The company has assured fleet owners of seamless return-load availability across major industrial corridors in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR. To build deeper ecosystem trust, TrucksUp has integrated 100% verified truck listings and fast-payment facilities, mitigating the financial risks traditionally faced by drivers and small scale operators.
Beyond digital integration, TrucksUp and the Nalagarh Truck Union kicked off this partnership by prioritizing driver welfare and safety. A massive free health camp was organized in Nalagarh, drawing participation from over 200 truck owners and drivers. The camp provided comprehensive health screenings, including blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar diagnosis, and professional eye checkups. Recognizing the critical link between driver health and highway safety, the organizers also distributed free protective goggles to the participants to promote road safety awareness.
Expanding the momentum of this initiative to other critical transit hubs, TrucksUp took its awareness campaign to Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar (SGTN) in Delhi, Asia’s largest trucking hub. There, the company organized an engaging street play (nukkad natak) to educate the transport community on how mobile technology can be utilized to eliminate empty miles and secure immediate return loads.
In Kanpur, TrucksUp organized another successful medical camp under the supervision of renowned specialist Dr. Manish Srivastava. The camp saw a large turnout of local drivers, fleet owners, and transport brokers. Alongside receiving essential medical care, attendees were educated on how TrucksUp simplifies the booking of verified return loads. The organizers emphasized that these health and awareness camps will become a recurring feature across major transport hubs nationwide.
Sarthak Elwadhi, Co-founder of TrucksUp quoted, “The practice of trucks returning empty is a massive economic drain on the Indian transport industry and a core pain point for independent truck owners. By partnering with bodies like the Nalagarh Truck Union and expanding our network across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and Uttar Pradesh, we are not just offering a digital platform; we are triggering a structural revolution. Our combination of guaranteed return loads, verified documentation, and instant payments ensures that transporters can operate with maximum efficiency and dignity. We are equally committed to the health and peace of mind of our drivers, who form the backbone of this nation’s economy.”
