Chandigarh, May 2023: In a beautiful evening of glamour, glitter and light, Deep Kaur, a pharmacist by profession and mother of a special child from Chandigarh, became first runner-up of Mrs VogueStar India 2023 at Le Meridien Hotel in Jaipur last week. The all-India beauty pageant was organized by VogueStar, an inclusive platform of the women and by the women supporting them to create their distinctive identities. Deep Kaur represented Chandigarh at the national round after winning the state-level competition and being crowned as Mrs VogueStar India, Winner of Chandigarh.
A tall and smart Deep left an ever-lasting impression on the spectators and jury members at the beauty contest. With her confidence and beautiful smile she won the hearts of eminent members of the jury in Jaipur. Expressing her happiness on her achievement, Deep Kaur said, “I believe in living my life to the fullest, taking up the challenges and facing them with the best of my abilities. Emerging as the first runner-up at Mrs VogueStar India is the biggest achievement of my life and I want to take this opportunity to thank Kirti and Herry ma’am along with the team of trainers, makeup artists and photographers who encouraged me to come forward leaving all my doubts behind and perform with full confidence on the dais.”
Deep is the mother of a special child and life has not been easy for her as she faces a new challenge every day. But with her passion for modelling and glamour, she decided to do what her heart says and walked the ramp to win the state and national level titles. She was groomed by a team of make-up artists who enhanced her looks and prepared her for the event. On the other hand, under the guidance of renowned designer Jigyasa Jolly, the second generation of designers like Rubal Grewal, Naina Chandwani and Vaishal R Kapur collated gorgeous outfits for Deep which gave an edge over other contestants in the final round.
Being a finalist for the national level contest, Deep got the opportunity to walk the ramp for Amin Farista’s couture collection launch. Farista experimented with Khadi and created an exclusive collection for VogueStar Fashion Week. The finale of Miss and Mrs VogueStar India 2023 witnessed 700 participants from across the country under the choreography of Alison Woodham, the grand finale displayed the talented fashion designers’ experimentation, both in fabric and silhouette.
The event was managed by an all-female team of VogueStar abiding by its motto of creating a safe space for women. The nation-wide event received registrations from 1200 passionate women from 28 states and eight union territories who wanted to create a mark in the society. After registration, the organization hosted state-wise beauty contests to select one winner from each region. VogueStar also invited budding and emerging fashion designers from all over the county to represent their state during the event. The 30 selected designers worked hard for months and created an exquisite collection of jewellery and outfits for the grand finale.
