These included the Samruddha Krushak Yojana, CM Kisan Scheme, and the expansion of cold storage infrastructure to support farmers and improve post-harvest management.
The conference also highlighted Odisha’s ongoing efforts to build a climate-resilient agricultural ecosystem through initiatives such as the Mission for Atmanirbharta on Pulses, National Food Oil Mission, and Shree Anna Abhiyan focused on promoting millets and sustainable farming practices.
Key Objectives of the Conference:
- Enhancing agricultural productivity in eastern India
- Promoting climate-resilient and sustainable farming practices
- Encouraging exchange of successful agricultural models and best practices
- Strengthening food security and farmer income
- Expanding value addition, storage, and market connectivity

The conference emphasized the importance of collaboration among states, policymakers, and agricultural experts to create a stronger and more resilient agricultural sector capable of addressing future challenges related to climate change, food demand, and rural livelihoods.
Participants also stressed the need for innovation-driven agriculture, improved infrastructure, and farmer-centric policies to ensure long-term rural prosperity and sustainable economic growth across the eastern region.
