Lunaz Sees Record Export Demand and an Appreciating Secondary Market for Its Electrified and Elevated Classics

Silverstone, UK

“Lunaz was created to write the next chapters in the incredible stories of the most celebrated cars in British automotive history. The growth of our export business, along with the appreciating value of Lunaz cars offered to the secondary market, demonstrates a global appreciation for the Lunaz proposition: to marry cutting-edge technology and exceptional driving dynamics with the style of an era when beauty was the only requirement. This success lays the foundation for many years of growth, ensuring that we can continue developing and nurturing the very best restoration, engineering, and design talent. Indeed, these results are a testament to the breadth of capability within our team here in Silverstone, as they elevate these cars to a peerless standard for a growing and vibrant global customer base.”

David Lorenz, Founder & CEO, Lunaz

Lunaz’s commitment to crafting the world’s most desirable, electrified, and elevated classics has been affirmed by a record period of export demand, an appreciating secondary market, and rising order values for its Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, Range Rover, and Rolls-Royce models.

Orders destined for international markets—including the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, France, Monaco, and India—have increased by 150% year-on-year. Meanwhile, 35% of the order book, extending to 2026, will remain in the company’s home market, the United Kingdom.

This success is driven by growing demand from a customer base that appreciates the beauty and iconography of these cars but has always been deterred by the driving and ownership experience. These customers, drawn from across the United States, UK, Continental Europe, and the Middle East, represent a new generation of first-time classic owners who will play a critical role in the preservation of the world’s most celebrated examples of automotive design.

The Lunaz process begins with an exhaustive bare-metal restoration, requiring over 5,500 hours, providing the perfect foundation for customers to collaborate with the company’s team of in-house designers, engineers, and restoration specialists to customise every aspect of their build.

The result is a vehicle that seamlessly blends the styling of an era when beauty was the only requirement with modern usability and highly engaging driving dynamics. This is achieved through cutting-edge, proprietary electric powertrain technology, fully upgraded braking and suspension systems, and a suite of technological and infotainment features.

Valuation uplift of Lunaz remastered and electrified classics

Since the start of the current production period in May 2024, Lunaz has allocated all production for delivery in 2025, with orders now extending to the second half of 2026. As global demand for both its electrified classics and the wider restomod market continues to grow, so too has the value of individual builds.

Customers are investing significantly, not only in applying the Lunaz process to highly sought-after and rare cars, but also in intricate materials, finishes, engineering innovations, and technological enhancements. The result is an increase in the average transaction value of 18%.

Furthermore, the investment customers have made in Lunaz projects has been supported by an appreciating secondary market. Indeed, existing Lunaz cars offered to customers on the waiting list have been sold at a premium, appreciating by an average of 22%.

Rare and Highly Specialised Customer Requests

Lunaz’s exhaustive restoration, remastering, and electrification process has been applied to some of the world’s most collectable and rare vehicles.

Among them is a 1958 Bentley Continental by James Young, one of only 13 remaining. Delivered to a client in France, the car was submitted for restoration with a clear vision: to allow his young family to share his love of classic British cars while addressing the usability and reliability challenges of vehicles from this era. Delighted with the outcome, the family has secured additional build slots over the next four years for a collection of restored, elevated, and electrified models from Jaguar, Bentley, and Range Rover.

Another notable commission was a 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, crafted for a European client and renowned collector of luxury and sports cars. Designed as the perfect conveyance for an evening out in London, the brief included an elegant storage solution for a particular brand of cigars.

Lunaz’s designers collaborated with a Mayfair cigar merchant to create a tailored humidor, precisely matched to the client’s preferred maker and gauge. Complementary wood-patterned ashtrays, inlaid with gold and magnetised for secure placement on the rear picnic tables, completed the specification.

Finished in a striking Wealden Green over Shale two-tone paint scheme, the car has quickly become a distinctive presence outside one of London’s most exclusive members’ clubs and restaurants.

Furthermore, on Range Rover Classic models, customers have tasked Lunaz with creating cars that are both highly capable off-road and ideal for driving and being driven in town. The range of customisation available lends itself perfectly to specialised use cases, including field sports and coastal homes.
