Bhubaneswar, May 26 (BNP): Mohan Charan Majhi has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the celebrations marking the second anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha, expected to be held in June.
Speaking on the upcoming event, the Chief Minister said an invitation has been extended to the Prime Minister to join the commemorative programme, which will highlight two years of the BJP-led administration in the state.
The BJP came to power in Odisha for the first time in 2024 after ending the 24-year rule of the BJD led by former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The party registered a historic victory in the Assembly elections and also performed strongly in the parliamentary polls, winning 20 of Odisha’s 21 Lok Sabha seats.
The anniversary programme is expected to showcase the state government’s achievements, welfare initiatives and developmental agenda undertaken since assuming office, while party leaders are preparing for a large-scale public outreach campaign across Odisha.
