Bangalore, 4th September 2025: In a celebration of Indian textiles and sustainable fashion, Swa Signature Style unveiled its debut collection at a glittering event at The Bangalore Room. Known for pioneering personalized styling, the brand showcased its commitment to eco-conscious couture with standout pieces like the Organic Lehenga and reinvented ensembles crafted from vintage sarees.
The launch was part of a curated exhibition featuring collaborative collections from Gujarat-based artisans, offering a rich tapestry of party wear, designer blouses, office-ready attire, festive skirts and lehengas, and handcrafted organic accessories including jewellery, bags, and belts.
The show-stopper was the hand-embroidered bridal lehnga, crafted from a geometric weave handloom fabric, featured Gujarat’s rich and vibrant textile and craft lineage presented in a modern way. The lehnga has been paired with a khadi blouse and a lightweight cotton dupatta – a conscious blend of heritage and comfort.
“This bridal lehnga is unique interpretation of the universal appeal of Gujarat’s famed artisanal techniques, which were brought to life through intricate handwork of flower motifs, salli and metal embroidery. Each detail pays homage to traditional Gujarati craftsmanship, re-imagined for a contemporary bride,” shared Dr Rekha B S, co-founder, Swa Signature Style.
The ensemble comprises a mustard yellow lehenga skirt adorned with intricate hand embroidery and woven geometric patterns in contrasting teal, red and white, with repeating bands of motifs, blending florals with chevron and arrow-inspired patterns for a bold yet traditional look. It is paired with a teal blue structured blouse with a unique scalloped hemline and embellished edges, paired with short cape-style sleeves in mustard yellow. The sleeves are richly decorated with geometric and floral motifs in red, blue and white, echoing Gujarat’s craft traditions.
The outfit is complemented with a teal cotton dupatta with delicate embroidered accents, draped on both arms and anchored with wide mustard cuffs, creating a cohesive finish. The look is elevated with handcrafted fabric earrings and latkans made from khadi and embroidered with beads and silk threads, tying back to the artisanal narrative.
Underlining Swa Signature Style’s commitment to mindful luxury that takes inspiration from India’s traditional fabrics, Pooja Sahai, co-founder, Swa Signature Style said, “An organic lehenga is one that integrates sustainability with heritage by using natural, handwoven fabrics such as khadi and traditional embroidery techniques. Every element is artisanal and eco-conscious.”
The evening also saw the unveiling of the Swa Signature Style’s logo, which is a refined reflection of the brand’s philosophy. According to Pooja, while the bold navy typography of SWA conveys strength and sophistication, the fluid linework in the “A” represents creativity and individuality.
“The golden butterfly symbolises transformation, grace and the freedom of self-expression while the understated gold lettering of Signature Style anchors the design with timeless elegance,” explained Rekha. Together, the elements present SWA as a brand that blends tradition with modernity and luxury with authenticity—capturing the essence of personal style, she added.
A panel discussion on corporate styling, titled ‘Style & Confidence in Professional & Personal Life’ was also organised as part of the event. Moderated by well-known wedding planner Divya Chauhan, the panel featured Swa Signature Style’s cofounders Pooja Sahai and Dr Rekha BS in conversation with noted personalities from the corporate world, including Faiz Shakir, VP & MD, Nutanix – India, ASEAN & HK and Vinay Lal, Partner – Singhvi Dev & Unni LLP.
