Hyderabad: 16 September, 2025: The Premia Academy marked National Sports Day with a vibrant celebration of student talent and sportsmanship. From mini-marathon runs and balancing activities for younger children to martial arts championships in Kung Fu and Taekwondo, the school showcased its commitment to holistic development. Inter-House Football and Basketball tournaments added to the competitive spirit, fostering teamwork and resilience.
Beyond competition, the day served as a reminder of the values that sports instill- Discipline, Perseverance, and Unity. Students cheered on their peers with infectious enthusiasm, teachers encouraged every effort, and the atmosphere resonated with energy and pride. The celebration not only honoured the legacy of Major Dhyan Chand but also reinforced The Premia Academy‟s belief that sports are a powerful medium to nurture both character and confidence in young learners.
The celebrations also highlighted the remarkable achievements of Premia students in external competitions:
- Pranavaditya (Grade 7) participated in an International Open Classical and Blitz Rated Chess Tournament and secured 5th place in the U-13 category.
- Ridhi Sainani (Grade 3) made us proud by clinching 3rd place in the South Zone U-8 Girls Chess Championship.
- The Under-16 Basketball Team delivered a commendable performance at the NextGen Basketball Tournament, showcasing skill and teamwork.
- ·In the City-Level Skating Competitions, Advaita (Grade 3) won Gold, while Jasivi (Grade PPII) earned Silver, bringing glory to the school.
- Our Taekwondo students as a group performed exceptionally well, winning 2 Gold, 5 Silver, 4 Bronze medals reflecting their strength, and dedication.
- Veer Singh Gulati (Grade 9) shone brightly, winning two Gold medals in Taekwondo.
