New Delhi, June 2: Actor Priyanka Mohan has been appointed as the Honorary Ambassador for Korea Tourism, marking a significant cultural collaboration aimed at strengthening tourism and cultural exchange between India and South Korea.
Expressing her gratitude, Priyanka said the appointment is a special honour for her and thanked the Government of Korea and the Korea Tourism Organization for the recognition. She added that she is excited to play a role in bringing Korean culture closer to Indian audiences and promoting greater awareness of Korea’s tourism offerings.
She noted that the growing interest in Korean culture in India presents a unique opportunity to build stronger people-to-people connections through travel, entertainment, and cultural exchange.
The Korea Tourism Organization said the appointment is part of its ongoing efforts to expand outreach in India, one of its key priority markets, by engaging popular cultural figures who can help showcase Korea’s heritage, lifestyle, and tourism experiences.
Officials highlighted that collaborations with influential personalities help strengthen tourism ties and encourage greater exchange between the two countries, particularly among young audiences.
With Priyanka Mohan joining as ambassador, the initiative is expected to further boost visibility for Korea as a travel destination and deepen cultural engagement between India and South Korea.
