New Delhi, June 2: The Government has issued a precautionary advisory on Ebola virus disease, stating that no cases have been reported in the country so far, while urging continued vigilance and preparedness across health systems.

Health authorities said the advisory has been issued as a preventive measure in view of global developments and to ensure timely response readiness in case of any suspected infection.
Hospitals and healthcare facilities have been advised to strengthen surveillance, maintain isolation protocols, and ensure that frontline medical staff are trained to identify and manage potential symptoms in line with established guidelines.
Officials emphasised that the current situation remains under control, with no confirmed Ebola cases detected in India. However, precautionary monitoring and screening mechanisms are being reinforced at key entry points and healthcare institutions.
The advisory also calls for increased awareness among healthcare workers regarding early detection, infection control practices, and reporting procedures to prevent any possible spread.
Authorities reiterated that there is no cause for public alarm at this stage, but stressed the importance of preparedness and coordinated response mechanisms to manage any potential health risks effectively.
The government continues to monitor the global situation closely and remains committed to safeguarding public health through proactive measures and timely advisories.
