TOKYO, July 04, 2025 –webCG Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shun Kondo), a member of the Kakaku.com Group, set a new Guinness World Record™ of 1,045 km for the longest distance travelled by an electric vehicle (EV) on a single charge upon attempting that challenge using a Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ between Wednesday 18 June and Thursday 19 June 2025. This initiative was conducted for the purpose of deepening understanding of EVs and communicating their value and potential far and wide.
Description of Challenge
webCG drove an “EQS,” Mercedes-Benz’s top-of-the-line EV, and measured the distance travelled until the automobile’s battery became depleted from a fully-charged state. The company sought to surpass the previous record for longest distance travelled (949 km) and reach the major milestone of over 1,000 km travelled.
