The move is part of Calcom Vision’s strategy to scale its business through diversification into solar and outdoor lighting solutions. The company’s solar outdoor lighting range includes All-in-One (AIO) Solar Street Lights, Semi-Integrated Street Lights, and Remote Monitoring System (RMS) Street Lights, along with streetlights, flood lights, and high bay lights, designed for outdoor infrastructure, industrial premises, and commercial applications. The company has already witnessed early demand from clients.

Over the next five years, the solar outdoor lighting segment is expected to account for up to 20% of the company’s overall revenue.

The expansion comes amid increasing adoption of solar-based lighting across highways, smart city projects, urban infrastructure, and rural electrification programs. With a focus on reducing grid dependency and improving energy efficiency, solar outdoor lighting is emerging as a key component in public infrastructure development.

Mr. Abhishek Malik, Executive Director of Calcom Vision Limited, says,

“India’s energy transition demands a different kind of manufacturing partner – one that brings design depth, not just assembly scale. This is the space Calcom is moving into. Our entry into solar outdoor lighting is a deliberate step toward becoming a preferred ODM for leading lighting brands in the industrial and outdoor segment.”

To support this expansion, Calcom Vision is doubling its manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, from 15,000 sq. meters to 30,000 sq. meters. The company plans to manufacture 10,000–15,000 units of solar street lighting annually, with capacity scalable in line with project demand. The facility currently operates 11 SMT lines and 10 assembly lines and houses an in-house plastic extrusion plant and powder coating setup.

The expanded capacity will support production of solar and outdoor lighting alongside the company’s existing portfolio of indoor lighting, smart lighting, and emergency lighting products for leading brands.

The company is also building a wider product range with multiple configurations across wattages, mounting formats, and battery capacities, enabling participation in tenders and large-scale deployments. In addition, Calcom is developing a new business vertical focused on battery pack manufacturing, catering to both solar street lighting applications and the growing EV 2W and 3W segment. Most recently, Calcom entered a manufacturing partnership with Goldmedal Electricals to produce LED lighting products, an engagement expected to contribute ₹20–25 crore in annual revenue at steady-state capacity.

Calcom Vision continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities and product portfolio across LED lighting, electronics, and emerging segments such as solar and EV-related solutions. The company remains focused on improving its product mix and strengthening its presence in institutional and professional lighting segments.
