From Gadchiroli to Australia: Lloyds Metals Announces 4th Batch of Curtin University Scholarship Programme

Maharashtra, June 17: Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited (LMEL) has announced applications for the fourth batch of its Global Education Programme, enabling students from Gadchiroli to study at Curtin University in Australia. The programme, a part of the Lloyds Infinite Foundation, one of the many initiatives by Mr.B Prabhakaran for the well-being of Gadchiroli, already has a strength of as many as 24 students from the area that once under Naxal insurgency.
 
What started as an effort to bridge the gap between rural talent and global opportunities has now become a pathway for young students from Gadchiroli to dream bigger and build careers on an international stage.
 
Applications are open from June 13 to June 20 for students from Gadchiroli district who have secured a minimum of 60 per cent marks in Class 12 (PCM/PCMB) or in science graduation.
 
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director, Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited, said, “Some of the brightest young minds come from places where opportunities are often limited. Through this programme, we want to ensure that deserving students from Gadchiroli get access to world-class education and the confidence to pursue their ambitions. It’s encouraging to see students from the district study in Australia and build new possibilities for themselves. We look forward to supporting many more such journeys.”
