The “Taiwan Expo in India” is Taiwan’s most renowned flagship marketing platform in India. This year, it features a diverse range of products and technological applications under themes like “Smart City,” “Smart Manufacturing,” ” Wellness Fiesta,” ” Green Innovations,” and “Smart Lifestyle.” Since its inception in 2018, the expo has attracted over 160,000 attendees and more than 700 Taiwanese companies, securing business opportunities with over 7,000 Indian buyers. This expo is the best promotional platform for Taiwanese companies in India and the main reason why the New Taipei City Government has chosen to participate, further establishing the New Taipei City Pavilion to intensively market their presence.

Ms. Amy Ho, Commissioner of Economic Development Department of New Taipei City Government, noted that 2024 brings the global trend of AI and the challenge of achieving net-zero carbon emissions. This year, New Taipei City introduced the “2Es” industrial policy to promote the transformation of the electric vehicle and e-sports sectors, facilitating the integration of industry supply chains. The policy also aims to gradually extend digital and net-zero transformations to various industries. The number of companies registering for the overseas marketing delegation to India this year has been more enthusiastic than in previous years. The Economic Development Department evaluated multiple criteria such as “domestic and international award records,” “foreign presence,” “export levels,” “completeness of data,” and “registration time” to select 20 outstanding companies to form the New Taipei City Trade Mission Delegation and exhibit in India. These companies will showcase the latest technologies in electric vehicles, e-sports, and mechanical manufacturing, directly exploring bilateral development opportunities and diverse industrial cooperation prospect.
