The Catalyst Effect, a self-awareness session held

Hyderabad, September 25, 2024…….You don’t just work hard, but work harder on yourself, for your personal effectiveness which ultimately leads to your success said Darpan Vasudev, the most sought-after self-awareness expert while talking to a gathering of 100-plus industrialists, professionals and successful businessmen at a session titled ‘The Catalyst Effect’. It was organised by The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI).

The speaker dealt with Who you are, why you think, what you think, discovering yourself etc in a fifty-minute engaging session.

Talent alone is not important. Competency is not just sufficient. If you want to thrive at something, it requires more than just being talented. It requires grit, perseverance, passion, work ethic and more self-aware he said.

The formula of success is not being intelligent, or smart, but there is much more to it. It is more by being a people’s man, managing people. You must positively impact people, he said.

Clean up negativity in you every day. Bounce back from failures. Love your heart, look at your business as an art and become an artist, and then magic starts. Raj Kapoor made Mera Naam Joker, which was a box office disaster and almost bankrupted his film production studio. But he hit back with Bobby, starring his son Rishi Kapoor, in his first leading role, opposite Dimple Kapadia and the film became a blockbuster securing the position of highest-grossing Indian film of that year. Remove negativity, give a fresh approach to life and you will see things work in your favour, he said.

He gave examples from the lives of many effective people such as Mahatma Gandhi, VK Krishna Menon, Josef Rudolf Mengele, a German officer and physician during World War II and Raj Kapoor,

Giving his opening remarks, Suresh Kumar Singhal, President of FTCCI said, the session organised by the Tourism Hospitality Media MICE Entertainment Committee of FTCCI was centred on personal development and transformation, which aligns perfectly with our committee’s vision.

Speaking further he added that by investing in the personal growth of our industry professionals, we can significantly elevate the quality of service and experience, he said and added that the speaker’s insights will undoubtedly contribute to a more self-aware, empathetic and effective workforce.

The Tourism Committee Chairperson Rakhi Kankaria said his session was not just about understanding strategies or tactics, but about unlocking the deeper layers in mind, identifying internal blocks, uncovering unexplored ideas and overcoming resistance to change.
