May 27: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing financial sector reforms and creating a more business-friendly environment to support India’s economic growth ambitions.
Speaking on the country’s reform agenda, Goyal highlighted that continuous policy improvements and regulatory simplification have strengthened investor confidence and enhanced India’s appeal as a global investment destination. He noted that efforts to modernise the financial ecosystem are aimed at improving efficiency, increasing transparency, and expanding opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs.
The minister also stressed that easing compliance burdens and promoting faster decision-making remain key priorities, as the government seeks to encourage innovation, attract capital, and drive sustainable long-term growth across sectors.
