Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses to Host Largest Summit of Small Business Owners in the U.S.

NEW YORK, September 25, 2025 — As Goldman Sachs celebrates fifteen years of its landmark Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and five years of its Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices policy advocacy initiative, the company today announced it will hold a two-day Summit in Washington, D.C. on October 29-30, 2025. The third Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit will be the largest convening of small business owners in the U.S. — celebrating fifteen years of impact and ensuring small businesses are positioned to thrive for the future.

The Summit will include inspiring keynote speakers, networking opportunities, and educational programming for small business owners, including sessions on AI, accessing capital, exit planning, and employee retention. Participants will also hold hundreds of meetings on Capitol Hill, calling for a ‘seat at the table’ in shaping policies that affect their future and advocating for an agenda that empowers them to compete and grow. Top priorities include expanding access to capital, strengthening workforce and competitiveness, increasing opportunities for small manufacturers—and ensuring small businesses have the tools, training, and support needed to adopt and deploy AI effectively.

“The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn, connect, and have a seat at the table on Capitol Hill,” said David Solomon, chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs. “With more than 2,300 small business owners already committed to join us in Washington, D.C., this gathering of small businesses will be a celebration of the program’s 15 years of driving impact.”

“As thousands of small business owners come to our nation’s capital for the Summit, we are investing in the beating heart of the American economy,” said Asahi Pompey, Global Head of Corporate Engagement and Chair of the Urban Investment Group. “For 15 years, 10,000 Small Businesses has invested in American ingenuity by providing small businesses with a best-in-class education, access to capital and a platform for advocacy that helps fuel job creation and economic growth. Their collective power and potential is tremendous.”

Since its launch in 2010, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses has committed $750 million to support meaningful and measurable small business growth across America, with more than 17,000 alumni from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. With a focus on reaching small businesses in all corners of America, Goldman Sachs announced a $100 million investment in 2023 to expand its programs in rural states. The expansion plans to reach 20 predominantly rural states in five years and, to date, has brought the program to 12 states including Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and West Virginia.

Goldman Sachs is also celebrating five years of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices (Voices), the firm’s small business advocacy initiative. Launched at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Voices has facilitated over 1,800 meetings with policymakers to help ensure small business owners have a seat at the table as policy is being considered in Washington, DC and beyond.
