When it comes to the revenue generation from online games in India, in 2019, the revenue generation figures touched INR 62 billion. It is speculated that by 2024 the revenue will be INR 250 billion. The data is adequate to narrate the growth of the online game in India.

Government figures showed that there are 760 million Internet users in the country, and out of that number, an estimated 365 million users play games via their mobile phones.

Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad are the major cities in India with the highest number of online game players. According to reports, one-third of the online gamers belong to the age groups of 35 and more and 45 percent of the mobile games are females.  31 percent of online game players in India play 4-5 times online games in a day.  24 percent of the total online game players in India play online casino games and betting games. The age group of 25 years and above enjoy playing online casino games in India.

At the rate it’s going, India, which already has around 40 percent of its Internet users gambling, is poised to surpass the United Kingdom in the number of people gambling, according to Parimatch International CMO Dmitry Belianin.

Indian online gaming industry is expanding rapidly creating many opportunities for gaming, animation, webmedia companies. The number of online game players is slated to increase in many folds next five years. The gaming industry will be the most revenue-generating sector in India in near future.
