Maharashtra, Apr 08: In a significant step towards strengthening Maharashtra’s emergency medical services and response infrastructure, SUMEET SSG announced a strategic partnership with Pinnacle Industries, India’s leading converter of ambulances and speciality vehicles. Together, they will design and deliver high-quality Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal ambulances for the Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS 108) project, one of the state’s most critical public healthcare initiatives.
Sumeet SSG BVG Maharashtra EMS, a joint venture between Sumeet Group, BVG India Ltd., and SSG Transporte Sanitario (Spain), will deploy and operate a fleet of 1,756 emergency vehicles under a 10-year Public Private Partnership – Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer (PPP-DBFOT) model. The initiative aims to enhance pre-hospital care, ensure rapid emergency response, and strengthen healthcare access across urban and rural Maharashtra through advanced technology, trained personnel, and integrated emergency systems.
The deployment of the ambulance fleet is planned across all 36 districts in Maharashtra.

As part of this collaboration, Pinnacle Industries will design and deliver ambulances under the project, serving as the end-to-end ambulance conversion partner. The company will deliver fully built medical mobility solutions engineered for rapid response, clinical efficiency, and patient safety across both urban and remote regions.
Each ambulance will feature medical-grade interiors, modular storage systems, enhanced patient comfort solutions, and crash-safe structures, ensuring compliance with both Indian and global healthcare mobility standards.
