93 Percent of NSTs Second Year Students Land Internships at Leading Tech Firms

Bengaluru, April 29, 2025—Newton School of Technology (NST) announced an exceptional milestone: 93% of its second-year Undergraduate CS & AI students at Newton School of Technology, Rishihood University, secured prestigious internships at leading technology firms across India, including Razorpay, Sarvam AI, Zoomcar, Allen Digital, Physics Wallah, as well as government agencies like the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO). In addition, 25% of these students have already completed two internships by the end of their second year, a rare feat for undergraduates in India.

Some remarkable NST student internships include:

  • Aman Kumar, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Intern, DRDO: At DRDO, Aman is building the vision system for a humanoid robot. By teaching the robot how to see, he’s shaping the future of India’s robotics program.
  • Udita, Artificial Intelligence Intern, Razorpay: Udita is building an internal AI tool that lets Razorpay developers turn design fields into live code.
  • Rachit Kumar, Frontend Engineer Intern, Sarvam AI: Rachit is building the user interface used by Sarvam AI’s top clients, including Swiggy, SBI Cards, UIDAI, Urban Company, and Tata Capital.

These students represent just a few of the NST students who are successfully interning at a total of 47 reputed organisations, across industries such as: defence, AI startups, fintech, digital marketing, manufacturing, education and more.

Students are encouraged to work on industry-relevant projects, collaborate with external organisations, and apply classroom concepts in practical environments. Unlike traditional engineering colleges, where internships typically begin in the third year, NST students begin theirs as early as the end of the first year.

Siddharth Maheshwari, Co-founder of Newton School, remarked, “At NST, our goal has always been to redefine education by integrating real-world industry experiences into our curriculum from the very start. Achieving a 93% internship placement rate for second-year students highlights how our structured, outcome-oriented approach genuinely prepares students to excel professionally, well before their graduation.”

With an emphasis on mentorship, a rigorous and industry-aligned curriculum, and practical project-based learning, NST students are redefining what it means to be industry-ready before graduation. As this model gains momentum, NST is expanding its footprint with a new Bangalore campus, aimed at nurturing even more future innovators at the heart of India’s tech ecosystem.
