May 25: The district administration in Vaishali has announced the suspension of all school activities up to Class 8 in response to the ongoing heatwave conditions affecting parts of Bihar.
The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students, given the intense heat and rising temperatures in the region. Authorities have directed all government and private schools in the district to halt physical classes for primary and middle school students until further notice.
Officials stated that the step was necessary to prevent heat-related health risks among children, particularly during peak daytime hours when temperatures remain high. Schools have been advised to comply strictly with the order and make necessary adjustments to academic schedules where required.
The district administration is closely monitoring weather conditions and will review the situation before deciding on the resumption of regular classes. Parents and guardians have been urged to ensure that children stay indoors during peak heat hours, remain hydrated, and take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
