Celebrating Tradition: Hrisha Tandon’s Arangetram Ceremony

Indian traditional dance styles are more than two thousand years old and these dance forms in the real sense of the term keep our age-old tradition of Guru-Shishya Parampara and culture intact. To celebrate an occasion of such caliber by Hrisha Tandon and her Arangetram ceremony. The special evening was graced by the presence of some of the most renowned personalities from the industry including Ms. Shreyasi Gopinath, Padma Bhushan & Padma Vibhushan, Rajya Sabha MP, and the iconic cultural personality of India Dr. Sonal Mansingh and Mr. Rakesh Sharma.

Hrisha Tandon started pursuing the divine art of Bharatanatyam at the age of seven at Shreyasi Gopinath Dance Academy. Under the able guidance and blessings of Guru Shreyasi Gopinath, she has blossomed into a fine dancer. Over the last 9 years, she has learned the nuances and precision techniques of this classical dance form under her Guru’s constant motivation and encouragement. Hrisha has to her credit dance scholarship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She has completed the five-year Prarambhik & Bhushan course In Classical Dance from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. (Organisation dedicated to Art and culture) She has had the privilege of being part of various cultural events organized by Sahitya Kala Kendra, SCERT, Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and Culture, and Yashraj Bharati Samman at Pragati Maidan. Hrisha has won accolades at national and International Dance competitions.
