National, 19 June 2024: India’s largest network of infertility treatment hospitals, Indira IVF, announced the completion of 150,000 successful IVF pregnancies , noting a 2x growth in the number of successful pregnancies in a span of three years. The milestone was achieved by adding 40 new centres in India in the same duration, increasing accessibility to more tier II and tier III locations in the country
Starting as a stand-alone hospital in Udaipur in 2011, Indira IVF completed 75,000 successful IVF pregnancies with 94 centres in 2021 thus, noting a 100% increase in pregnancies with a 42% increase in footprint till date. This has been fuelled by a debt-free model, trained human capital of 2,700 professionals and implementation of advanced technology such as artificial intelligence, ensuring that 7 out of 10 couples on an average walk away with a positive pregnancy test.
A key driver of Indira IVF’s success is also its data-driven research approach. Indira IVF leverages its high patient volume to analyse vast amounts of data, uncovering key causes and triggers of infertility. Moreover, West Bengal has noted the highest incidences of male infertility, with 61% of the total couples treated having abnormal sperm parameters. In another retrospective study conducted with Indira IVF patient cases on Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) – a hormone used as a biomarker to evaluate ovarian reserve in females – found that south Indian states have higher median AMH levels than other zones of the country.
This data-driven approach by Indira IVF serves multiple strategic aims – to gain deeper insights into the root causes and triggers of infertility across India, optimize and enhance their treatment protocols for improved success rates, maintain leadership by continually advancing medical practices based on evidence, increase accessibility by understanding geographic variations, and drive operational efficiency. Such a data-driven approach thus, fuels its success rates and operational efficiency, connecting with the company’s commitment to continuously advancing practices and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
