KLH Hyderabad Campus organizes a Blood Donation Camp

March 22nd, Hyderabad: KL Deemed to be University, Hyderabad has organized a blood donation camp at its campus in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) on 20th March 2023. The objective was to promote awareness about the importance of blood donation and help save lives. The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Honorable MLA Mr. Kale Yadaiah, MLA Chevelle Assembly constituency, Sri S Narasimha Reddy Chairman Indian Reddy Cross Society. The camp was also graced by R. R. Dist, Sri Dr. D V Pandu Goud, Vice Chairman Indian Reddy Cross Society, R. R. Dist, Sri G KottiRedy AO IRCS, R. R. Dist, Sri Raghavender Reddy, Treasurer IRCS, R.R.Dist, Sri Suraiah Goud IRCS, Member IRCS R. R. Dist and Dr. A. Ramakrishna, Principal, KLH Hyderabad Campus.

Dr. G. Pardha Saradhi Varma, Vice Chancellor, KL Deemed to be University said, “I am happy to see the enthusiasm among students who volunteered to donate blood and their commitment toward society. As a responsible organization, we frequently organize meaningful events to inculcate a sense of responsibility and empathy among students. Participating in blood donation drives not only helps those who require transfusions but also encourages a healthier lifestyle for the donor.”

On this occasion, Mr. Kale Yadaiah, MLA Chevella Assembly constituency, appreciated the KLH NSS unit of the University for its continuous endeavors. He also stressed the growing need for blood in the state and commended the young volunteers for their noble acts.

Around 200 volunteers actively participated in the event and collected 150 units of blood. The camp was coordinated by the staff, faculty members, and N.S.S co-coordinators along with Dr. M P Mallesh and Dr. SaidiReddy to make the event successful.
