MP Tourism Unveils Immersive Zone at KidZania Showcasing the State’s Attractions

Mumbai, 5th May 2025: Madhya Pradesh—a vibrant tapestry of history, culture, spirituality, and wildlife—is now being brought to life for young explorers through a one-of-a-kind initiative at KidZania. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Experience Center was officially inaugurated at KidZania Mumbai, with a simultaneous launch at KidZania Delhi NCR, offering children a unique opportunity to engage with the heart of India in an immersive and interactive setting.

Speaking at the Mumbai launch, Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, remarked, “Madhya Pradesh offers nearly every type of tourism experience India has to offer—from ancient heritage and tribal traditions to spiritual sanctuaries and lush wildlife reserves. We are proud to introduce this experience centre that brings our state’s wonders closer to the next generation. I invite all families to explore and discover the unmatched charm of Madhya Pradesh.”

Mr. Tarandeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Business Officer of KidZania India, added, “This collaboration marks the first time a state tourism board has created such an innovative engagement platform for children. It’s a powerful step toward cultivating curiosity and responsible tourism in young minds.”

Delivering the vote of thanks, Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, emphasized, “This initiative is designed to spark interest in the state’s rich biodiversity, rivers, and cultural legacy through fun, educational virtual experiences. We look forward to evolving the center with even more exciting elements in the future.”

A formal MoU exchange ceremony between Madhya Pradesh Tourism and KidZania took place during the event. Mr. Yazdi Khambatta, Director and COO of KidZania, presented a symbolic key to Mr. Shukla to mark the inauguration. The celebrations included a cake-cutting ceremony with children, a colourful parade through the KidZania city with mascots, and a ribbon-cutting at the new experience centre.

The MP Tourism Experience Centre introduces two virtual adventures- a Jungle Safari and River Rafting. In the Jungle Safari, children embark on a simulated jeep journey through Madhya Pradesh’s dense forests and national parks, encountering wildlife in a lifelike setting. The River Rafting experience offers a thrilling ride through the state’s scenic rivers, showcasing its natural beauty and aquatic life. These activities leverage cutting-edge technology—VR, motion sensors, environmental effects, and 3D visuals—for maximum immersion.

Children don green safari jackets to fully embrace their role as young explorers. Each session lasts approximately 10 minutes, followed by a fun quiz. Participants who answer correctly are rewarded with KidZania’s in-house currency, KidZos, and also get to design and take home a customized souvenir postcard. MP Tourism is also distributing creative giveaways including themed stickers, diaries, and colorful pencils.

The initiative not only provides entertainment but also fosters holistic Skill Development among children. It helps sharpen Psychomotor Skills through interactive animal spotting activities, while enhancing cognitive abilities by encouraging observation and critical thinking. Emotional Intelligence is nurtured through immersive, empathy-building experiences that connect children with nature and wildlife. Additionally, Social Skills are strengthened through collaborative group participation, promoting teamwork and communication. With its innovative approach, the MP Tourism Experience Centre is capturing young imaginations while fostering a lasting emotional connection to one of India’s most diverse states. It’s not just an attraction—it’s an invitation to families to discover Madhya Pradesh together.

The event was attended by leading tour operators, travel professionals, media representatives, and enthusiastic families, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in child-friendly tourism promotion.
