Jeypore:April 01: On the occasion of the 91st Foundation Day of the State Police, to be observed on April 1, a total of 136 police officers and personnel across the state have been selected to be honored with the Director General of Police (DGP) Medal for their distinguished service.
Among them, Kashyap Partha Jagadish, a former SDPO of Jeypore in Koraput district and currently serving at the District Police Headquarters, and SI Siddhanta Kumar Behera of Jeypore Town Police Station, have been selected to receive the DGP Medal for their notable service.
Out of a total of 16 senior and junior officers in the state, Kashyap is the only officer at the SDPO rank to be honored. Similarly, SI Behera is among the top 13 Sub-Inspectors in the state to receive this recognition.
Both IPS officer Kashyap and SI Behera have made significant contributions in cracking down on ganja mafias, apprehending thieves, robbers, and dacoits, and strengthening the law and order situation in the Jeypore region.
Meanwhile, Constable Bibhishan Randhari, currently serving in the district, and Constable Francis Kullu of the Koraput 1st Indian Reserve Battalion, have also been selected to receive the DGP Medal for their commendable service.
