The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of Ayush, Health and Family Welfare, Pratap Rao Yadav, marking the commencement of a 75-day countdown to the International Yoga Day.

The event attracted a large gathering of yoga enthusiasts who took part in the collective yoga session.

The event underscored the significance of Yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being and encouraged people to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The grand gathering served as a precursor to the International Yoga Day, which is celebrated globally on June 21 each year, focusing on the importance of holistic health through the ancient practice of yoga.

The event at Kalinga Stadium was a testament to Odisha’s growing commitment to promoting wellness and health. Participants in the yoga session were able to engage in various asanas (yoga postures) under expert guidance, fostering a sense of community and collective well-being.

As the countdown to International Yoga Day continues, this event marks an important step towards raising awareness about the benefits of yoga, not just in India but across the world.
