VakeelSaab Onboards 2,000 Plus Verified Lawyers Nationwide Within Months

New Delhi,  April 8: India has one of the world’s largest legal professions, with over two million advocates enrolled with state bar councils regulated by the Bar Council of India. Yet for many individuals and businesses, finding the right legal counsel still largely depends on informal referrals and personal networks. Delhi-based legal-tech platform VakeelSaab is attempting to address this gap by enabling users to discover and consult verified lawyers online.

Since its launch in November 2025, the platform has onboarded and approved more than 2,000 verified lawyers across India and facilitated over 8,000 legal consultations from users seeking guidance across a wide range of matters including property disputes, matrimonial issues, corporate litigation, and civil cases. According to the company, many of these consultations relate to property disputes, matrimonial matters, and corporate advisory, reflecting a growing willingness among individuals and businesses to explore legal options through digital platforms before formally engaging lawyers.

Founded by veteran lawyer Monica Lakhanpal, VakeelSaab is designed to make legal assistance more accessible across different budgets while addressing some of the longstanding challenges people face when trying to identify the right legal counsel. A key feature of the platform allows users to seek initial legal consultations anonymously, enabling individuals to explore their legal options before formally engaging legal representation.

In India’s legal landscape, concerns around confidentiality, limited transparency in lawyer selection, and fragmented access to legal expertise often discourage individuals from seeking timely legal advice. VakeelSaab addresses this by allowing users to discover, evaluate, and consult verified lawyers online before revealing their identity.

The platform also enables users to seek independent second opinions on ongoing cases and compare legal strategies across multiple lawyers in a structured and confidential environment. Once a user chooses to engage a lawyer, the engagement transitions seamlessly from digital consultation to formal legal representation.

All lawyers listed on the platform undergo a multi-layer verification process, including Bar Council credential checks, review of past judicial records, and internal screening. This enables users to access trusted legal guidance across civil, criminal, corporate, family, real estate, and intellectual property matters.

“Many people struggle with the very first step of resolving a legal issue, finding the right lawyer they can trust,” said Monica Lakhanpal, Founder of VakeelSaab. “Our aim is to simplify this process by creating a structured platform where users can discover verified legal professionals, speak with them anonymously, and make more informed legal decisions.”

As part of its next phase of growth, the startup plans to expand its network of lawyers across major and emerging legal markets in India while strengthening digital tools that help individuals better navigate legal issues.

VakeelSaab is also preparing to launch its mobile application on Android and iOS, which will allow users to make secure, stage-wise fee payments and receive real-time updates on their cases. Once a lawyer is formally engaged through the platform, relevant case documents will be shared directly on the app, giving clients greater visibility into the progress of their matters.
