India, 04 May 2023: The G20 Gen Forum ED Conclave 2023, held from 28th and 29th April 2023 in Bangalore, has concluded on a successful note. The event was hosted by Tech Avant Garde (TAG), which is known for its personalized and engaging educational experience for students by seamlessly integrating online and offline learning platforms, along with CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and Microsoft and attended by eminent personalities, government officials, educationalists, and business leaders from various districts across the country.
The theme of the conclave was “Reimagining Education for the 21st Century and bringing hybrid learning to life “, which aimed to explore new ways of transforming education to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future. The conclave featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops on topics such as curriculum design, teacher training, technology integration, and policy reforms. The welcome address was graced by eminent leaders in the field of Education i.e., Dr. RP singh, Joint Secretary CBSE, Dr Biswajit Saha, Director Skill Development CBSE, Dr. T.G. Sitaram Chairman, AICTE, Prof. Sridhar Srivastava, Joint Director, NCERT, Major General Ravi Murugan, AVSM, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, Irina Ghose, COO, Microsoft India and Mr Raj Nehru- VC, HVES University.
Dr. T.G. Sitaram Chairman, AICTE lauded the efforts of each teacher in shaping the future of our nation and said “Skill is the key. We need to invest our energies in the skill development of our youth. The schools and colleges should align with both the government and the skill development ministry to make the skill initiative more comprehensive. The New Educational Policy insists upon vocational training that must be imparted to school students so that the young people can acquire skills of earning a living.”
The conclave also saw the launch of several initiatives to support the goals of the G20 Gen Forum ED, such as a teacher training program, a digital learning platform, and a research consortium. These initiatives are aimed at creating a global network of educational institutions and experts to collaborate on innovative projects and share best practices.
Emphasizing on the impact of technology on the educational system, Dr. RP Singh, Joint Secretary of CBSE, quoted, “A recent survey talked about 85% of teachers believe technology has a good impact on education and 62% believe that the best use of technology is the supplement to the teaching method but not a replacement. Students remember 5% when they are taught through traditional methods but they remember 70% when taught through technology and practical.”
