Hyundai Sets a New Monthly Sales Record
Hyundai Motor India also had a strong September, selling 77,916 vehicles across domestic sales and exports. This represented a year-on-year increase of 10.8 per cent and marked the company’s highest total monthly sales since it began operations in India.
Domestic sales reached 57,166 units, while exports stood at 20,750 units, showing healthy demand both in the Indian market and overseas.
The strong September performance comes at an important time for the industry, as consumers traditionally consider buying vehicles during the Dussehra and Diwali period.
Festive Season Brings More Buyers to Showrooms
The festive months are among the busiest periods for India’s automobile industry. New model launches, exchange benefits, financing options and festive offers often encourage customers to bring forward vehicle purchases.
For automakers and dealers, strong September sales provide an encouraging start to the festive quarter. The coming weeks will be closely watched as manufacturers look to maintain customer interest through Dussehra, Diwali and the wider festive shopping season.
For consumers, the growing range of models and festive offers is creating more options across different price segments, from compact cars to SUVs and commercial vehicles.
The September performance of Mahindra and Hyundai highlights how consumer interest in automobiles is gaining momentum just as India’s biggest festive buying season gets underway.
