JSA Reconstitutes its Executive Committee

JSA announced the composition of its newly elected Executive Committee and the re-election of the Joint Managing Partners.

The five new Executive Committee members are:

Amit Kapur and Vivek Chandy have been re-elected as the Joint Managing Partners of the firm for the next three years. Both Amit and Vivek assumed their role as Joint Managing Partners in January 2019.

Commenting on the reconstituted Executive Committee:

The Executive Committee, comprising five members and with a three-year tenure, forms the senior leadership team of the firm with responsibility for the overall management, developing and implementing the firm’s growth strategy, and managing the firm’s operations across its seven offices.

Amit has anchored JSA’s Infrastructure regulatory practice since 1997 with a focus on dispute resolution, public procurement, PPP and Energy sector transactions (Power, Hydrocarbons, Natural Resources); Climate Change & Sustainable Development; Transport (Rail, Highways and Civil Aviation); Communications; Municipal Infrastructure and Social Developmental projects.

Dina Wadia
Finance
Mumbai

Dina specialises in Banking & Finance, Investment Funds, Financial Services, and Mergers & Cross Border Investments & Acquisitions. She has extensive experience advising Indian and multinational banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, development financial institutions, debt funds, sovereign funds and corporate borrowers on finance related transactions. She also leads the Debt Capital Markets practice of the firm.

Rupinder Malik

Rupinder has over 25 years of experience with more than a decade in JSA. Her practice primarily focusses on Corporate, M&A/PE and White-Collar Crime Investigations. Rupinder has extensive expertise in advising clients on cross-border investments (inbound and outbound); joint ventures; strategic alliances; restructurings, employment, data protection, and related regulatory issue. She has represented wide variety of industries, businesses, and sectors. Rupinder also has handles compliance matters and investigations in connection with fraud, cybercrime, money laundering and other anti-corruption laws and sanctions.

Varghese Thomas

Varghese specialises in handling matters related to the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and debt recovery proceedings. With extensive experience in commercial dispute resolution, he regularly advises clients in arbitrations and court cases related to shareholder disputes, commercial contracts, concession agreements supply, sale contracts and engineering contracts. Varghese also advises on private trusts and estate planning matters and on Exchange Control regulations and Securities Regulations.

Vivek K Chandy

Vivek brings extensive experience in areas of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, corporate commercial matters and real estate advisory in India. He is also qualified to advise on international commercial arbitrations and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
