Furthermore, Narsi co-chairs the Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC), a non-profit promoted by CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and aided by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The aim of the council is to develop world-class,
skilled manpower for the Furniture and Fittings Sector.

Experienced carpenters get recognition for their skills and are certified under RPL scheme.

Getting quality over quantity right
Going a notch further, the company has proudly undertaken the milestone project of constructing all the loose furniture and entire interior fit-out work in the new Parliament of India building. Adding yet another feather to their cap, another prestigious project by the organisation is the civil and interior work for the ITPO project at Pragati Maidan. They have played an instrumental role in depicting the country to the world as this particular project will represent India on a global level where important international events and summits like G20 Summit 2022 will be conducted.

Carving from scratch
Focusing on creating liveable and workable spaces, the organisation takes the sustainability factors rather seriously. Owning ultra-modern, next-gen manufacturing facilities at Kandivali&Turbhe, their factories are more than just manufacturing units. Spread over 1.25 lacs sq. ft. and displaying state-of-the-art interiors, their units are equipped with the latest Italian and German machines minimising wastage and yielding quality products. They also develop interiors and products to conform to LEEDS Green Building Certifications. The machines are CE-certified, automated and data driven, with a capacity to process woodboards of upto 50,000 sq ft per day. To keep evolving and be in pace with rapidly-changing trends in the industry, there is also a dedicated R&D facility for innovative engineering methods and techniques.

The organisation is industry 4.0 ready and here’s why:

Giving the hi-tech equipments a sustainable twist, the entire factory is made dust free. They have dust collecting system installed in every machine. Moreover, they have Automated Temperature Controlled Spray Booth, whichreuses excess paint collected on the belt and the special exhaust systems filter out the toxins.

To run things efficiently and eliminate communication gaps, they have an in-house Enterprise Resource Planning software called the Narsi Project Suite. It is customised as per Narsi ecosystem, and the system captures and syncs every department’s activity in this software from procurement, HR, Production and so on. All products at the factory have a specific bar code, which helps the teams to know the process. This way every detail across departments is mapped, updated and streamlined for a smooth functioning. Tech plays a robust role here as everything is merged in the system, with all information and resources just a click away.

AS their upcoming, big project, Narsi Group, a firm supporter of Make In India campaign, is all geared up to launch their own retail segment. This new line by Narsi will offer a bespoke range of home and office furniture. These handcrafted, contemporary designs will be made in India by Indians, raw materials ethically sourced from artisans and making sure to stay true to the roots. With the pandemic having affected all sectors, Narsi Group is all set to support authentic, handcrafted furnitures in the next big wave of going Vocal for Local. Empowerment is the way forward for Narsi Group and they are just on track with their mission.
