CM Yogi Urges Students to Use Summer Break for Learning, Culture and Nature Connect

May 25: As summer vacations begin across Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has written to students encouraging them to use the break productively by learning new skills, exploring interests, and strengthening family and cultural ties.

In his message, the Chief Minister said the vacation period offers an ideal opportunity for children to move beyond academic routines and engage in activities that support overall personality development. He encouraged students to read books, explore creative hobbies such as painting, photography, music, gardening, and even learn new languages or practical skills.

He also urged parents to ensure that children spend time with their grandparents, highlighting that such interactions help them understand cultural values, traditions, and family bonding. He said that exposure to elders’ stories and experiences plays an important role in shaping character and emotional growth.

Emphasising environmental awareness, CM Yogi encouraged families to connect children with nature by planting trees, caring for saplings, and maintaining cleanliness. He said such activities help build sensitivity towards nature and promote responsibility toward the environment.

The Chief Minister also suggested that families plan educational and nature-based travel during the holidays, mentioning destinations like Dudhwa National Park, Chuka Beach, and Katarniya Ghat Wildlife Sanctuary as examples where children can experience biodiversity and natural beauty.

He further appealed for a plastic-free summer holiday season, urging the use of eco-friendly alternatives such as cloth and jute bags and encouraging children to avoid littering. He said small lifestyle changes can help build a cleaner and healthier future.
