Rising Through Resilience: The Success Stories of Masai Graduates

September 26, 2024: Masai School, a platform that builds a bridge connecting skills with opportunities, has succeeded in accomplishing the dreams of more than 5000 students across India. Working as an outcome-driven career institute, it has trained more than 100 batches and scaled up over the years with 6,000 current enrolments. Completing five years this month, the organisation has ensured to fulfil its sole goal of unlocking the human potential of India by making the education system outcome-driven.

Omkar Pasalkar started his career in Pune, Maharashtra, where he attended Marathi medium schools to complete his early schooling. Although he did well academically, he faced considerable obstacles due to a lack of his English-speaking ability and financial difficulties. Following his diploma in Electronic Telecommunication, Omkar struggled to find employment for his engineering studies and was burdened with student loans.

When he first learned about Masai School, he had doubts about the curriculum. He accepted Masai’s rigorous curriculum, which focuses on technical capabilities, fluency in English and soft skills despite his misgivings. Omkar was able to stand out in his project submissions and land a job at Pine Labs as an SDE1 because of the bootcamp’s revolutionary approach. Omkar said, “Coming from a Marathi medium background, I never thought I’d succeed in the tech world, but Masai gave me the skills and mindset to secure a future in tech I once thought was impossible.”

Yogesh Jagtap, originally from Pune, Maharashtra, embarked on his professional journey as a mechanical engineer. However, despite steady work, Yogesh felt unfulfilled and began questioning his career path. It wasn’t until a friend introduced him to Masai School that he saw a potential way to pursue a more meaningful career.

Yogesh took a leap of faith and applied to Masai. There was a lot of uncertainty, and his family was hesitant to make this decision. At Masai, he faced new challenges, such as mastering English communication and complex data structures, but the teaching methods transformed these hurdles into learning opportunities. With renewed confidence and a passion for learning, Yogesh secured a position as a Backend Developer at AbsoluteScript, marking the beginning of a fulfilling new career. Yogesh said “I felt stuck in mechanical engineering, but Masai opened a whole new world of opportunities for me in tech. I finally found a career that excites me.”

Harshada Raundal, born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra, had always dreamt of excelling in the digital world. After completing her degree in computer science, the pandemic derailed her plans, leaving her struggling to find opportunities. Although she found work as a data analyst, Harshada yearned for more and began seeking a career aligned with her true passions.

She found Masai School and, despite the risk of leaving a secure job, she enrolled in the program to pursue web development Harshada’s journey had its own struggles as she juggled her job with Masai’s rigorous curriculum, all while receiving continuous support from her mentor, Isha Kataria, and building resilience through Masai’s intensive training., Harshada secured a position as a Software Engineer at Indivv. Harshada said “I learned that setbacks are just stepping stones. Masai’s mentorship and training helped me overcome failures and step into a role I’m passionate about, every failure pushed me closer to the role I truly wanted.”
