NEW DELHI: The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust in collaboration with the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi organized the 27th Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial lecture at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management in New Delhi.
Dr. Shobhana Radhakrishna was welcomed by Shri Anil Shastri, the Holding trustee of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust, Prof. Praveen Gupta, Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, and others.
In his welcome address Anil Shastri, Holding Trustee of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust , paid tribute to Shastriji on his 55th death anniversary. Anil Shastri said, Shastriji was a true follower of Gandhiji and followed his values and ideals in his life.
Mudit Shastri, trustee of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust shared the life journey of Dr.Shobhana Radhakrishna.
Dr.Shobhana Radhakrishna, Chief Functionary Gandhian Forum for Ethical Corporate Governance(SCOPE) while delivering her thoughts on Shastriji’s legacy said “ She got this opportunity to pay a humble tribute to Shastriji on 55th Death anniversary. The great political leaders Gandhiji and Shastriji were born on the same day on 2nd October and they spent their whole life serving the nation. She said their life is an inspiration to the young generation to be punctual in their work; everyone has the potential to transform themselves and become leaders like them. ”
She further added that “ Shastriji followed Gandhi’s steps in serving the nation and truly committed their lives for the welfare of people. These both great leaders have good wisdom and developed sharp intellect by questioning and listening to their inner voice. Gandhiji always believed in God and his theory of ‘Who Am I’ where the answer came to Gandhiji – Truth is God, faith in the truth. The life of Gandhiji has an impact on many great leaders one among is Shastriji, who is a great follower of Mahatma Gandhi. “
A book titled “Lal Bahadur Shastri, Man of the Masses” authored by Dr. G. L. Sharma, Professor and Corporate advisor, LBSIM, Delhi was released on this occasion.
